Project completed

I have now finished my blanket and am rather pleased with how it has turned out.  I have not listed it in my folksy shop yet but intend doing so shortly.  Now for my next project mmmm, will have to think about that one.

Lovely Dottie Dog!

My daughter's dog Dottie is priceless.  She is a Jack Russell Terrier and always up to mischief.  They had a builder round to do some repairs to the roof.  He left the door of his van open.  In Dottie sneaked, sniffed around a bit and then ate his sandwiches.  Only found out when the poor man went to get a well deserved lunch break and found his empty lunch box on the floor.  Guilty party, looking as if butter wouldn't melt, relaxing in her basket, her tail going twenty to the dozen.  At least he saw the funny side.

Here is another picture of lovely Dottie.  I don't know how my daughter managed to get her into this! as she doesn't stand still for a minute.

It's Arrived!

My wool arrived today.  25 Balls all in different colours.  I can now start crocheting my throws.  I did design one on the computer but I can't work like that in practice - I will have to go back to my tried and trusted method - make it up as I go along.

I now have two projects on the go as I have still to finish the bracelet I am tatting.

Passing the time

I was feeling at a bit of a loose end as I have lots of designs going round in my head, but can't start on any new throws as I have no wool left.   After searching the Inernet I found Marriners Yarns had some very reasonably priced wool - so I am avidly waiting for it to arrive.

To pass the time I decided to make a tatted bracelet.  I used some gold metallic thread, quite challenging to work.  I added some beads to give it extra sparkle.  It is progressing slowly  - I hope I finish it before the wool arrives.

My Next Project

I am now down to only one Granny Square blanket left (http://folksy.com/items/4428038-Travel-rug-blanket-throw , having sold a few lately.  These blankets are not quick to make, so I had better get started some replacements.  In the past, I have just decided on which colours I would like to use, making the squares up as I went along.  Being a bit more organised now, I have designed my latest blanket on the computer.  We will just have to see how this works out.  I used the table menu on my computer to draw a set of squares to represent each square of the blanket.  I then played around with colours.  This is what I came up with.  I now have to decide what kind of crochet stitch to use.  I will finish it off with  a coloured border around the edge.  I will keep you posted – if you are interested.
